Dear guests,
It was on the cards, but De Kruidenier is now closed for good.
It has been a wonderful adventure. We are proud of what we have achieved over the past few years at our lovely spot at 'De Kom' in Weesp. Lovely winter evenings by candlelight. Unforgettable Valentine’s Day dinners. Stunning wedding dinners, both on our terrace shaded by plane trees and on saloon boats in Amsterdam. And above all, all those ‘ordinary’ evenings in the restaurant and on the terrace with lovely people, delicious dishes and fine wines!
Our team has taken immense pleasure in cooking for you, and we hope we’ve left you with some wonderful memories.
I’d like to thank you all warmly for your visits and your wonderful compliments. I’d also like to thank my kitchen team and everyone who has served our guests over the past few years for your dedication and friendship – because that’s often what it became. Finally, I’d like to acknowledge Willemijn, who has supported me on this adventure and – especially during busy periods – kept things running smoothly at home (and sometimes in the restaurant too).
I’m going to miss both my guests and my staff enormously, but I’m also looking forward to enjoying a bit more free time with my young family and to training a new generation of hospitality professionals at 'Leerhotel Het Klooster' in Amersfoort.
All the best to you all and…
don’t eat too much – just make sure you eat well.
Warm regards,
Nesty
